A Heartwarming Reunion and Send-off!
Seniors get a "clap-out" at assembly.
April's assembly was filled with smiles, nostalgia, and plenty of “wow” moments as we welcomed back members of the JCDS Class of 2020, who are now proud high school seniors!
Our current students and their former teachers were thrilled to see them. The alumni had grown so much that many now towered over our kids (and even some of the teachers!). Several laughed and commented that everything at JCDS looks so much smaller than they remembered.
The gathering also marked the final full assembly for our 5th-graders, who will celebrate their graduation on May 19. To make the moment unforgettable, they brought the house down with a lively dance performance to Smash Mouth’s All Star, complete with big energy and even bigger smiles!
There will be one more brief assembly on the last day of school, where Sharky will make a special appearance to wish everyone a wonderful summer break.
What a beautiful full-circle moment for our JCDS community!
