The JCDS Academic Support Team provides educational services to strengthen students as they thrive and reach their highest potential. This encompasses regular progress monitoring as well as student advocacy and empowerment.
The learning specialists evaluate students’ personal learning profiles and build a support plan. They develop strategies with classroom teachers and families to help students build lifelong skills of problem solving, critical thinking, and communication.
Students requiring extra services may be referred by classroom teachers or arranged at the request of parents.
